Tadpole Update
I'm finding it extremely difficult to photograph camera shy tadpoles. Here is the best I could do, blurred and all. Good news, we have leg buds... at least that is what I'm calling them since they aren't big enough to be moving, but are definitely visible. We have a total of nine tadpoles and all seem to be well. We've been feeding them a leaf of lettuce every few days.
And this is where they live... right in the middle of our kitchen table in an antique cookie jar - sans lid. We stacked books underneath since during meal times we were all 'hunched' over looking at them. Now they are at a nice convenient eye level height (or close enough).
Stay tuned for froggy leg updates. When the back legs fully develop, I plan on catching one to photograph... I know, exciting stuff!

You know that really is exciting. We had tadpoles that really became frogs..it was so exciting to the girls. When they are little everything is exciting. We tried tadpoles again this year, for fun. It was cute and we took them back to the pond after a few days. The excitement level just wasn't the same...sort of sad.
Oh and I simply adore that picture of your little ones in their winter hats. It is so cute.
Enjoy your days with those little ones, because those little rascals are gonna grow up before you know it!
