Petting Farm

We spent the day at a Petting Farm in Kissimmee, Florida last week. It allowed so much interaction with the animals. Ali and Ben both enjoyed it. We fed many of the animals. Ali rode the pony, her favorite part of the day and Ben must have like the donkeys because he tried to leave with a handful of its fur. We saw a huge pig with its babies, a water buffalo, ostrich, a zorse (a zebra/horse mix), turkeys, a minature pony that was pregnant, and several other animals

This is Freckles... we were allowed to milk her, but Ali just wanted to pet her head.
The brown dog's name is Ginger...

A baby piglet has an assigned nipple to feed on and will not feed off any other.

This is the zorse... he is sterile like a mule. The farmer said that they are crossing many animals with zebras... like zony (zebra & pony) and zonkey (zebra & donkey). As long as the father of the animal is a zebra, then the animal will have the stripes.
This is the water buffalo... also where we get mozzerela cheese!

Valentine's Day at the State Fair

We spent Valentine's Day at the Florida State Fair yesterday with Grammy & Pap, Dan's parents. It was so much fun we spent 10 hours there! I planned on leaving whenever the kids had had enough, but they were great and wanted to keep going all day. We saw a man wrestle an aligator, a cow being milked, pioneer village, Hollywood Circus, a pony ride, a bear show, tons of rides, fried Pepsi, and much more... my camera died or I would have more pics. And yes, I said fried Pepsi... they fry everything there! The circus was Ali's favorite part, mine too. We went to Barnum &Bailey last year and this one blew them out of the water. Ben on his first tractor.



Ben didn't ride, they just let me pose him for pics.

Dan had to feed the animals... Ali was in a look but don't touch mood. They were aggressive eaters!
Dan thought it was sooo funny to get my picture by the milking machines... haha!

My Funny Kids

Ali and Benjamin love for Dan to drag them through the house on a blanket together. It is something Ali started a few months back, but now they both do it. They think it is so funny as they wind through each room. They also like Dan to grab one end and me to grab the other and use the blanket as a huge swing. Ben laughs so hard, then Ali gets tickled at Ben laughing.... its a moment I wish I could video. If only they would invent a third arm... I know I could use one these days!

Don't worry Ali isn't sitting on Benjamin... its the bumbo! Another fun day at the park!

GO FIRE!!!

Friday night was Southeastern University's homecoming. We had a blast and the men's basketball team won! Ben slept through most of it... I think the noise was too much for him. Ali enjoyed the face painting and of course the cheerleaders. She kept asking me if the homecoming court couples were going to dance with each other. She told me they were as pretty as Cinderella and Prince Charming! (I love this age!) Here are some pics of the pyro-maniacs...

Chuck E Cheese!

We took Ali and Benjamin to Chuck E Cheese on Friday for lunch. Ali loves the games even though she is still a bit small for many of them. This was Ben's first visit. I think he liked it!
