We moved here when she was 4 months...

And now...
We continued our tradition of baking the cake together. She wanted me to draw Strawberry Shortcake on it, but I just didn't know how to even begin that... She was happy with the strawberries around the side. (It was strawberry cake too)
The large 5th candle is for Aunt Melissa. St. Patrick's Day is her birthday too!

This pic is for Beebs. This is what she got with her gift card!! She had such a good time 'shopping' at Target. This took 'us' over an hour to pic out! Thank YOU!

We decided to do FOUR special things with Ali this year instead of a party. Dan took the day off and we went to to story time at the Lakeland Library. The room was decorated for St. Patrick's Day, but since that is how we usually decorate for her b'day, she thought the decorations were for her - so cute. She told Ms. Connie, the story time lady, that it was her birthday and the whole class sang to her... followed by a lovely Irish craft.

Next, we went to Target to let her pick out stuff with birthday money.

Then she chose our lunch destination.... of course PIZZA.

And Fourth, we took her to a really cool candy shop down town called Sugar Rush to pick out any FOUR items she liked. This place has a ton of 'fancy' candy like elaborate lollipops, fudge, ice cream, any candy you can imagine. I was expecting to at least spend $10 in here.... she picked out a tootsie pop, sugar daddy, lollipop, & some other tiny piece of candy all for $2.45!! I couldn't believe it. I thought she'd rush for the big bright colored stuff. We were laughing at her and ourselves because we almost were trying to talk her into the outrageous stuff.

It was a fun day. We went to Grammy & Pap's for dinner, birthday cake, and more presents.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

And to see what one year looks like... here is a pic from one year ago!
