Lithia Springs, Florida

Today we traveled about 45 minutes southwest to Lithia, Florida. They have a natural spring that we wanted to try. It was only $1 per person and so much fun. The spring is 72 degrees year round, so a bit nippy for this southerner, but Dan kept saying it was refreshing. Once you got (all the way) in, it was perfect in the blazing July heat.
24 million gallons of water flow up from this spring every day. Dan snorkeled about 15 feet down to see the source of the spring bubbling from the earth. So neat to experience this natural 'swimming pool' of fresh, s0 clear, clean, beautiful spring water. And fish! Schools of them swimming all around- nice size too. The kids loved it and didn't want to leave.

Our New Friends

We spotted these tadpoles along the school's putting green. I thought back to catching them when I was little and how fun it was to watch them grow legs and eventually become frogs. So, we punched holes in an old peanut butter jar and began our hunt. Later that evening we transferred them to a larger home since it looked like the water wouldn't settle from all the swimming.
Hopefully we'll watch them grow and post some tadpole updates!

Pregnancy Update 26 Weeks

Ali & I actually have matching shirts on here! I never thought I would do that, but I'll enjoy it as long as she thinks it's fun. We are preparing for our dinner cooking show... she is a wonderful host. She even 'talks' to our audience, which always make me laugh.

My two favorite men... and a 'new love' nose picking... :(

Happy Fourth!

We enjoyed a lovely picnic with Dan's parents and swam at their pool before watching an amazing fireworks show. Ben did NOT like them, but neither did Ali at his age. However, they loved the sparklers and throwing the Snap Pops.
